Our Living Well Programme is designed to support people living with a life-limiting illness to feel more confident, informed, and in control. Through a series of supportive sessions, we focus on helping you manage symptoms, improve wellbeing, and live as well as possible in a way that works for you.

Supporting you to live well with a life-limiting illness

Our living well programme is a flexible, supportive series of sessions designed to help you live as well as possible while managing a life-limiting illness. It offers practical advice, emotional support, and opportunities to connect with others in a safe and understanding environment.

Who is it for?

The programme is for:

• People living with a palliative diagnosis of a life-limiting illness
• Carers, family members and loved ones

You can attend together or separately.

What to expect

The programme runs as a rolling series of weekly sessions. You can join at any point and choose the sessions that feel most relevant to you.

Each session is informal, supportive, and designed to be accessible for different needs.

You can:

  • Attend as many or as few sessions as you wish
  • Join face-to-face or online via Microsoft Teams
  • Access practical advice and strategies for daily living
  • Share experiences with others in similar situations
  • Receive support from a specialist multidisciplinary team

What we cover

Our sessions are based around six key areas of wellbeing:

Emotional wellbeing

Supporting you to understand and manage the emotional impact of living with illness.

Social wellbeing

Helping you stay connected, communicate openly, and share experiences with others.

Physical wellbeing

Practical support with fatigue, breathlessness, and staying as active as possible.

Spiritual wellbeing

Exploring meaning, purpose, and approaches such as complementary therapies.

Financial and practical wellbeing

Support with planning ahead, including wills, finances, and future arrangements.

Information and decision-making

Guidance around medicines management, advance care planning (ACP), and understanding your options.

Led by a specialist team

Sessions are delivered by a multidisciplinary team, including:

• Wellbeing Practitioners
• Occupational therapy
• Physiotherapy
• Clinical nurse specialists
• Complementary therapists
• Spiritual care lead
