Chief Executive
Michelle brings over 30 years’ experience in the health, social care, and charity sectors, most recently as CEO of ellenor Hospice in North Kent. Her leadership approach focuses on collaboration, innovation, and empowering teams to excel, aligning closely with our hospice values and mission.
Stephen Turner
Stephen Turner
Finance Director
Stephen is a Chartered Management Accountant with over 20 years’ experience across the public and private sectors. He has held senior roles supporting strategy, financial planning, and performance in complex organisations. Stephen brings a strong focus on financial clarity, sustainable growth, and effective decision-making, alongside experience in governance, systems, and transformation. He is also a director of Local Hospice Lottery Ltd.
Irene Ferguson

Corporate Services Director
Irene joined Farleigh Hospice in January 2017. She brings extensive senior leadership experience from housing associations and local authorities, with expertise in capital projects, business planning, HR, organisational development, IT, health and safety, risk management, maintenance, and facilities.
Dr Eva Lew
Dr Eva Lew
Medical Director
Dr Eva Lew joined Farleigh Hospice in 2010 as a Consultant in Palliative Medicine, following specialist training in the Oxford Deanery. She was appointed Medical Director in 2019 and works alongside the Clinical Director to ensure a high-quality and responsive clinical service.
She oversees the medical team across our Inpatient Unit, community services, and local hospitals. She is also Lead for Clinical Governance and plays a key role in clinical education, working closely with our Head of Education.
Eva is particularly interested in developing palliative care education at Anglia Ruskin Medical School and exploring innovative approaches to learning, including virtual education such as Project ECHO.

Director of Care
Ellie joined Farleigh Hospice in 2022, bringing over 30 years of nursing experience and significant leadership experience in local hospice care. She is responsible for leading and developing our care services, ensuring patients and families receive high-quality, compassionate support. Ellie is passionate about contributing to the positive impact Farleigh Hospice has within the local community she also calls home.
Jenny Danson
Jenny Danson
Director of Income Generation
Jenny joined Farleigh Hospice in March 2026 to lead fundraising and retail.
She brings over 25 years’ experience in the charity sector, having worked with organisations including SANE, NSPCC, Save the Children, the RNLI, and Mind. Jenny is passionate about building strong relationships with supporters and ensuring sustainable income growth, with donors and communities at the heart of everything we do.
She has a personal connection to hospice care following her uncle’s experience with Motor Neurone Disease. Living locally and as a parent, she is deeply motivated to help ensure hospice care is available to families when they need it most.
