Visiting our Inpatient Unit

At Farleigh Hospice, we warmly welcome visitors to our Inpatient Unit (IPU). This page provides helpful information to support your visit.

Visiting hours

There are no set visiting hours on the IPU. Your loved ones are welcome to visit at any time.

Please note:

  • To ensure the comfort and needs of all patients, the nurse in charge may occasionally ask visitors to rotate or limit the duration of their visit.
  • Visiting arrangements may sometimes be adjusted to maintain safety and wellbeing.
  • On arrival, please report to Main Reception. There may be times when visitors are asked to wait briefly, and we thank you for your patience and understanding.

Guidelines may change to keep everyone safe. Our staff are happy to answer any questions about current arrangements.

Out of hours access

Our reception is not staffed after 5pm or at weekends. If you are visiting during these times, please use the intercom system at the main reception entrance. A member of the team will respond and provide access to the building.

Facilities for families

We aim to make visits as comfortable as possible:

Family rooms and comfort areas for quiet time or privacy

Patios to enjoy fresh air and outdoor space

Baby changing facilities in the reception area
