Community Bereavement Support Groups

Our Open Support Group and Bereavement Help Points offer a welcoming space to connect with others, share experiences, or simply listen, with support from trained volunteers.

Talking and connecting after a loss

Our Open Support Group and Bereavement Help Points (BHPs) are informal drop-in sessions for anyone affected by bereavement, offering the opportunity to connect with others who have experienced a loss. Many people find that sharing time with others in a similar situation can reduce feelings of loneliness, help them feel understood, and provide space to learn and exchange ways of coping.

The sessions are facilitated by trained volunteers who provide a safe and welcoming environment. They can offer support, share helpful resources, and signpost to further services if needed. Some people choose to talk about their own experiences and challenges, while others prefer to listen, and both approaches can be equally valuable.

There is no need to register in advance and you are welcome to attend your first session whenever you feel ready.
