Hospice Education Partnership

Farleigh Hospice is proud to be part of a collaborative Hospice Education Partnership alongside St Elizabeth Hospice and St Helena Hospice.

Together, we are working to improve access to high-quality education and training in palliative and end of life care.

Expanding access to learning

Through this partnership, we offer a broad and growing programme of education, training, and development opportunities. These include both online and face-to-face sessions, designed to support:

  • Hospice staff and volunteers
  • Healthcare professionals across mid and north east Essex
  • Colleagues working across Suffolk, Great Yarmouth and Waveney

Our shared aim is to ensure that more people have access to consistent, best practice learning that supports high-quality, compassionate care.

Working together to improve care

By combining expertise across our three hospices, we are able to:

  • Share knowledge and specialist skills
  • Deliver practical, inclusive and responsive learning
  • Strengthen collaboration across organisations and services
  • Support a consistent approach to palliative and end of life care

This partnership reflects our commitment to improving care for people living with life-limiting illness and those important to them.

What training is available?

We offer a range of flexible learning opportunities to support different roles, experience levels and learning preferences. These include:

  • Short courses and workshops
  • Study days and specialist sessions
  • Accredited and non-accredited programmes
  • Online and face-to-face learning

All training is designed and delivered by experienced hospice professionals, with a focus on practical, relevant learning that can be applied in real care settings.

A shared commitment

As part of this collaboration, we have signed a joint memorandum of understanding, formalising our commitment to work together to shape and deliver hospice education.
