Our Summer Memories Service and appeal are a chance to pause and remember someone special, to honour the life they lived and keep their memory close this summer.
You are warmly invited to our Summer Memories Service on Saturday 13 June.
This relaxed and informal event is open to anyone who would like to remember and honour the life of a loved one. It will be held in the gardens of our hospice on North Court Road, Chelmsford. The afternoon will include readings, performances from the Farleigh Hospice choir, time for quiet reflection, and refreshments.
- 2.00pm – Gardens open with music and drinks available
- 3.00pm – Summer Memories Service
- 3.45pm – Refreshments, garden games and music
- 5.00pm – Event ends
If possible, please bring with you a lightweight chair, stool or picnic blanket as we will only have limited seating available on the day. Please bring waterproofs or an umbrella if rain is forecast.
Well-behaved dogs on leads welcome.

Donate to our Summer Memories Appeal
Every donation helps us be there for local families when they need care and support. At Farleigh Hospice, we provide specialist care and compassion, free of charge, to people across mid Essex.
Robson was just 22 when he was diagnosed with a brain tumour. His brother Shane describes the support Farleigh Hospice gave their whole family as absolutely incredible. Your donation to our Summer Memories appeal will help us continue to be there for families like theirs.
Leave a dedication
When you donate, you'll be invited to leave a personal dedication in memory of someone you love. Your words will be displayed on a postcard at our hospice, a small but meaningful way to keep their memory present this summer. As a thank you, we'll send you a card made from plantable wildflower seed paper.
