Some summers stay with you forever.

Support our Summer Memories Appeal 2026

Donate in memory

The person who always heard the ice cream van first. The one who found the perfect spot for the picnic blanket. Long summers at the caravan, lazy afternoons in the garden, someone on the barbecue who burnt the sausages every time and nobody minded. Those moments don’t fade, and neither do the people behind them.

This summer, we’re asking you to remember someone special and help us be there for more families when it matters most.

Robson was just 22 when he was diagnosed with a brain tumour. His family faced one of the hardest experiences any family can go through, and Farleigh Hospice was there to support them. Your donation to our Summer Memories appeal will help us continue to support families like Robson’s, with expert care and compassion.

"From the day we brought Robson home from hospital, Farleigh Hospice supported the whole family through everything. They were so kind, compassionate and understanding, not just with Robson but with us all. They were absolutely incredible and went above and beyond to help – nothing was ever too much trouble.”

How your gift makes a difference

Every donation, whatever the size, helps us keep providing expert care, free of charge, to people and families across mid Essex.

£15 a month: Could help us run our Clinical Advice Line, giving patients, families and professionals access to expert guidance seven days a week, whenever they need it most.

£30: Could help fund a group bereavement counselling session, supporting people as they navigate the emotional and practical weight of grief.

£80: Could help our community nursing teams continue visiting patients in their own homes, providing specialist care in familiar, comforting surroundings.

£120: Could help provide specialist symptom management and compassionate care for patients staying in our Inpatient Unit.

Gift Aid note: If you’re a UK taxpayer, please add Gift Aid to your donation. It costs you nothing extra and means we can claim an additional 25p for every £1 you give.

Give a gift in their memory

When you donate, you’ll be invited to write a personal dedication in memory of your loved one. Your message will be displayed on a summery postcard at our hospice, a small but meaningful way to keep their memory present.

As a thank you, we’ll send you a card made from plantable wildflower seed paper. Sow it somewhere that feels right and watch something beautiful grow in their name.
