Our multi-disciplinary team brings together a range of expertise to provide personalised care and support.

Working together to support you

At Farleigh Hospice, your care is delivered by a multi-disciplinary team. Everyone on the team brings expert knowledge and compassion to support your physical, emotional, social and spiritual wellbeing. 

We understand that coming into the Inpatient Unit can feel worrying. Our team works together to make sure you and your loved ones feel supported, heard and cared for at every step. 

Roles of key team members 

Doctors and Consultants
Provide medical oversight, manage complex symptoms and ensure your care plan meets your needs. 

Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS) and Registered Nurses (RN)
Deliver day-to-day care, monitor symptoms, administer medication and coordinate with other team members to ensure your comfort and safety. 

Healthcare Assistants (HCA)
Support nursing staff and help with personal care, making sure your everyday needs are met with kindness and respect. 

Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists
Help maintain mobility, manage discomfort and support independence with practical strategies and exercises. 

Social Workers and Family Support Counsellors
Offer emotional support, practical guidance and help families access resources and services. 

Chaplain and Spiritual Care Team
Provide spiritual and emotional care for people of all faiths or none, supporting your values, beliefs and personal reflection. 

Complementary Therapists
Offer gentle therapies such as massage, relaxation and other approaches to ease tension and support overall wellbeing. 

Volunteers
Provide practical support, companionship and kindness, helping your stay feel as welcoming and comfortable as possible.  

How the team works together 

All members of the team communicate regularly and hold care reviews to make sure your treatment and support are tailored to your needs. Each professional brings a different perspective, helping us provide holistic care that looks after symptoms, emotional wellbeing, social needs and spiritual support.
