Weekly Patient and Carer Social Drop-In at Farleigh

Our Patient and Carer Social Drop-In has now moved to a weekly schedule. Held every Wednesday from 11:00am to 12:30pm in the Lantern Suite at Farleigh Hospice, the group provides a relaxed environment to chat, share experiences and find emotional support.

The sessions are facilitated by our dedicated wellbeing volunteers, whose presence helps create meaningful connections among attendees facing similar circumstances.

Growing success of our Physio-Led Seated Exercise Group

January saw the start of our new Physio-Led Seated Exercise Group, and attendance has grown each week. This gentle, structured session supports patients to:

  • stay active safely
  • build physical confidence
  • enjoy peer encouragement
  • experience the emotional benefits of moving together

It’s becoming a valued weekly highlight for many.

Welcome to our new wellbeing volunteers

We are thrilled to have recently welcomed a new cohort of wellbeing volunteers. Their support will be e

ssential as we develop additional groups and activities across our wellbeing and bereavement programme.

At the moment, we are working closely with these new volunteers – providing training, guidance and support – so they feel confident and ready to step into opportunities as they arise. Our goal is to build a flexible ‘bank’ of volunteers who can help us bring new ideas and groups to life.
