Essex hospices unite for second year of national campaign to inspire gifts in Wills

Farleigh Hospice is joining forces with five other Essex hospices and 121 hospices across the UK for the second year of the powerful nationwide ‘This is Hospice Care’ campaign.

Led by Hospice UK, this campaign shows that hospice care is everything you’d expect and so much more. It also highlights the vital importance of legacy gifts in Wills in providing this specialist and compassionate care for future generations.

The impact of hospice care is undeniable. UK hospices supported 310,000 people facing incurable and complex conditions last year and demand for palliative care is projected to increase by 25% nationwide by 2048. Nationally, gifts in Wills support the equivalent of 400,000 nights of hospice care every year.

Farleigh Hospice is proud to be part of this important campaign on television, radio, in print and online.

We are very grateful to everyone who makes the kind and thoughtful decision to leave a gift to Farleigh Hospice in their Will.

Anne is making a legacy gift so Farleigh can keep on caring in the future. She explains, “We never know what’s around the corner, do we? What crisis may arise, or what illness may strike when we least expect it.

“Sadly, several of my close family members and friends suffered from devastating life-limiting illnesses but benefited from hospice care as inpatients or received care at home. I saw first-hand the difference that specialist care and support made at the end of their lives.

“That’s why it is so important for me to support Farleigh Hospice, to make sure that it has the resources to keep on caring and providing support for everyone who needs it. Making a bequest in my will is my way of doing that, to repay the care and kindness.”

If, like Anne, you’ve already remembered Farleigh Hospice in your Will, thank you. Knowing about your gift helps us to plan ahead – you can let us know confidentially.
