Summertime brings back fond memories of family holidays and lazy, sunny days spent with friends and loved ones. Our Summer Memories Service and Appeal are thoughtful ways to celebrate the life of someone special who has died and to remember those precious moments.
You are warmly invited to our new Summer Memories Service on Saturday 13 June.
This relaxed and informal event is open to anyone who would like to remember and honour the life of a loved one and is held in the gardens of our hospice in North Court Road, Chelmsford. The service will include readings and performances from the Farleigh Hospice choir as well as a time for quiet reflection.
- 2.00pm – Gardens open, music and drinks available
- 3.00pm – Summer Memories Service
- 3.45pm – Refreshments, plus garden games and music
- 5.00pm – Event ends
If possible, please bring with you a lightweight chair, stool or picnic blanket as we will only have limited seating available on the day. Please bring waterproofs or an umbrella if rain is forecast.

Can you help us to continue to be there for people like Robson, pictured on the right, by donating to our Summer Memories appeal?
Robson was diagnosed with a brain tumour at the age of 22. His brother Shane explains why support from Farleigh Hospice was so important when his family was caring for his brother, Robson.
There are hundreds of people in our community, who just like Robson, need our specialist care and compassion in the last few months of their life.
Any donation you can make to our Summer Memories appeal will help us to continue to be there for the people who need us.
As part of our appeal, you can leave your own special dedication in memory of a loved one when making your donation. This will be displayed at the hospice on a summery postcard.
As a thank you for your donation, we will send you a card that contains a plantable wildflower seed paper.
