About us

We provide specialist palliative and end of life care to people across mid Essex, supporting patients and those close to them through some of life’s most difficult times. Our focus is on helping people live as well as possible, with care that is shaped around what matters most to them.

What we do

We care for people living with life-limiting illness, offering practical, clinical and emotional support.

This includes care at home and in the community, inpatient care at the hospice, wellbeing and therapy services, and support for families, carers and those who are bereaved. We work alongside other health and care professionals to make sure people receive consistent, coordinated support.

Who we support

We support people across mid Essex, as well as those important to them. Our care can begin at different stages of illness and is flexible to changing needs over time.

Our approach to care

We take time to listen and understand what matters to each person.

Care is flexible and reviewed regularly. We focus on comfort, dignity and choice, helping people feel supported and less alone during a difficult time.

Working together

We work closely with the NHS and other local services to provide coordinated care. Our teams include a range of specialist professionals working together to support each person and those around them.

How we are funded

Farleigh Hospice is a charity, and a significant proportion of our funding comes from donations, fundraising and gifts in wills.

This support makes a direct difference to the care we are able to provide.
