We are delighted to share our newly re‑branded charity magazine, Heart of Farleigh, filled with the latest news, inspiring care stories and uplifting fundraising activities.
This year marks 20 years since Farleigh Hospice moved to North Court Road, and during that time our building has supported thousands of families with compassionate care. As our facilities have aged, many areas have needed essential updates. Thanks to restricted government grant funding, we’ve been able to refurbish our kitchen and café, creating three new rooms in our Inpatient Unit, installing solar panels, and launch a brand‑new website with the functionality we need to grow and reach more people than ever before.
Looking ahead, we’re excited to be launching our new strategy for 2026–2029 this June. In this edition, we share insights into how the strategy is taking shape and how our new model of care will help us continue meeting the needs of our community in the years to come.
You will also hear from Sharon, who shares why Farleigh’s care meant so much to her and her husband, Paul, during his final weeks. A poignant reminder of the difference your support makes every day.
We invite you to join us at our Summer Memories Services on 13 June, where we will come together to remember and celebrate the lives of those special people who are no longer with us.
You can also step behind the scenes with Caroline, one of our fundraisers, and discover why our incredible supporters continue to take on inspiring challenges to help Farleigh be there for those who need us most.
On 10 May, we would love you to join us for our much‑loved Walk for Life, a fun way to show your support and connect with the Farleigh community while, taking a stroll through the beautiful Essex countryside.
Thank you, as always, for your kindness and generosity. Your unwavering support enables Farleigh Hospice to continue providing compassionate care at the heart of our local community.
Warm regards,
Michelle Kabia
