Farleigh Hospice is a high performing organisation providing specialist palliative and end of life care for people with life limiting illness in the Mid Essex region. Our team at Farleigh has grown and evolved to meet the changing needs of the community we serve, and we are looking for highly motivated Office Coordinator to join our Psychological and Wellbeing team.
We are looking to recruit a qualified and experienced administrator with excellent interpersonal, organisational and computer skills to join our services open to carers, family and patients who are received care from Farleigh Hospice. This exciting role includes providing administration support for a team of professionals and volunteers, handling sensitive calls, providing support and advice, and supporting volunteers in their work.
You will be an approachable and compassionate person who enjoys working with people and is able to respond sensitively to individuals experiencing difficult or emotional circumstances. You will be organised, adaptable and able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, with a commitment to Farleigh Hospice’s values and person-centred approach.
You will have excellent communication and listening skills, with the ability to respond to queries and concerns sensitively and professionally. You will have strong organisational and time-management skills, accurate record-keeping and good IT skills, including Microsoft Office. Previous administrative experience is essential, alongside the ability to prioritise your workload, use your own initiative and communicate clearly in writing and in person. Experience of working within healthcare or wellbeing would be an advantage.
