Light Up a Life Services 2026

Remember someone special this Christmas with Farleigh Hospice.

We warmly invite you to join us at one of our Light Up a Life services

Christmas can be a particularly difficult time when someone you love has died. Light Up a Life gives you an opportunity to pause, reflect and remember someone special, while coming together with others in your local community.

Our Light Up a Life services are special candlelight remembrance events taking place across mid Essex this November and December. Everyone is warmly invited to join us to remember loved ones and help keep the light of hospice care shining for local families.

A Farleigh Hospice patient lies in a hospital‑style bed covered with a beige blanket while a Healthcare Assistant in a maroon Farleigh uniform with a yellow name badge stands beside them, speaking gently and checking on their comfort. The room is calm and homely, with medical equipment, a bedside cabinet, two chairs, framed artwork on the wall and a wooden door.

Your support helps local families

When Stewart was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer, Farleigh Hospice became a source of comfort, care and strength for him and his family.

His wife, Soraya, describes that care as ‘a light for us at the worst time of our lives’. Discover how we helped them create precious moments together in his final days.
