Conquer the three highest peaks of the Yorkshire Dales
This demanding yet rewarding one-day trekking challenge will take you to the summits of Pen-y-Ghent (694m), Whernside (736m) and Ingleborough (723m) all in one circular route starting and ending in Horton-in-Riddlesdale.
Itinerary
Day 1: Set off early morning from Horton-in-Ribblesdale. The first peak, Pen-y-ghent (694m) is just under 3 miles away. After conquering the first peak you will descend and push on to the next peak which is the highest of all three, Whernside (736m), approximately 7.5 miles further. You then start the ascent to the third and final peak – Ingleborough (723m) - which is approximately 5 miles further on.
