Book a place

Join the Mayor of Chelmsford for a special tour and afternoon tea at Chelmsford City Museum.

The event will start with a private guided tour of the Museum, followed by afternoon tea at The Hive.

Your tour will be guided by Claire Willetts, curator of the Museum's newest exhibition that opens in March 2025. Shifting Perspectives: Exploring Art Together continues the museum’s work to break down barriers and provide opportunities for diverse audiences to engage with culture.

You will then enjoy a delicious afternoon tea with a selection of sandwiches, cakes and scones at The Hive. The cafe is set in the grounds of the Museum at Oaklands Park. This family run establishment prides itself on its home made food with locally sourced produce.

Chelmsford City Museum and the Hive Cafe are fully wheelchair accessible, with slopes, ramps, and a lift to all floors and accessible toilets. Assistance and Guide dogs are welcome.
