Leave a gift in your will
After you’ve taken care of loved ones, leaving a gift (or Legacy) in your Will to Farleigh Hospice is a great way to invest in your community and help guarantee the future of hospice care for local people.
Farleigh Hospice work right across Chelmsford and mid Essex supporting the community at their time of greatest need.
We couldn’t do it without the generous contributions to our income from our supporters and one of the most powerful ways is to leave a legacy gift.
What will you leave behind as your legacy?
Your legacy is a gift that matters. Any size gift can help us achieve incredible things.
Could you be like Mr N W who left a legacy which has helped us to pay for a three day stay for one patient in our In Patient Unit?
Or like Mrs M P whose legacy helped us to pay our Community Nurse Specialists for one week?
We are also very grateful to Mr D M who left a legacy that helped us to run our bereavement service for an incredible ten weeks, and Mr R S whose legacy helped us to run the Inpatient Unit for ten days.
A legacy is an amazing final chapter in someone’s life story and something to be proud of.
In the last financial year, we received 25,162 calls to our clinical advice line; cared for 1,570 patients at home; cared for 207 patients in our Inpatient Unit and received 1,002 referrals to our bereavement services.
We would not be here today to provide these much-needed local services without the people who have so kindly and generously supported us in the past through gifts in their Wills.

Nina whose husband, Owen, was cared for by Farleigh said, “We are so lucky to have Farleigh Hospice. No one ever expects or wants to be in the position where hospice care is required for someone they love, but Farleigh’s compassion and empathy brings some light into a very dark time.”
Please leave a gift in your Will now and help us continue caring for local people affected by life-limiting illnesses and bereavement, like Nina and Owen, in the future.
