Local pub raises over £50,000 for Farleigh
“Farleigh is a charity very close to my heart, having raised money for the hospice since 1999"
The Compasses pub in Littley Green, has been raising money for Farleigh for over 10 years. Through their annual ploughing competition and beer festival, they have raised over £50,000!
Landlord Joss Ridley said: “Farleigh is a charity very close to my heart, having raised money for the hospice since 1999 when I cycled from John O’Groats to Land’s End.
When we were looking for a charity to support as part of our first Hopstock Beer Festival in 2010, Farleigh were a natural choice. I want to thank all the countless people who have given up their time for free to support Hopstock, as well as all the staff at The Compasses and our loyal customers who have been incredibly generous over the years.”
