Fareway Taxis have announced their new Fareway Farleigh Taxi, a specially branded vehicle that will see all its profits being donated to the hospice for the next 12 months.
Dan and James, owners of the taxi firm, were inspired to raise money for the charity after their father, Andrew Robinson, was cared for by Farleigh Hospice nurses.
Sally Briggs, one of the nurses who helped care for Andrew said: “We are so grateful to Fareway Taxis for their generosity and support. It is thanks to the support of local businesses and our community we are able to continue to provide the care for those living with a life-limiting illness and bereavement across mid Essex."
Alison Stevens, Chief Executive said: We cannot thank Fareway Taxis enough for their kindness. Through this initiative they will not only raise thousands for the hospice, they will also help promote the work we do and how we support our local community. This comes at a particularly poignant time for everyone at Farleigh Hospice, as all our nurses and doctors work around the clock to deliver care during these challenging times. It’s thanks to the generosity of local businesses such as Fareway’s we are able to continue to deliver our care to those who need us the most, free of charge.”
