Following almost 10 years of leadership of Farleigh Hospice, I have decided to retire from my position as Chief Executive to enjoy more time with my family and my grandchildren.
I have been proud to lead such an amazing organisation through a time of growth and development which has continued, despite all odds, during the most difficult of times in the recent pandemic.
Farleigh is a thriving charity with a great reputation for delivering high quality care and support for patients and their carers and families through into bereavement. We work as one team pulling together to bring in much needed funds to sustain our services, ensuring we are safe and compliant with legislation, with a strong foundation of governance in place.
I have very much enjoyed working within the wider health and social care system, influencing the direction of palliative and end of life care to benefit a growing number of people who need care and support. Farleigh is well positioned to continue to support our partners to achieve the best possible services in all settings.
I was delighted to be part of Farleigh’s 40th Birthday celebrations last year and to work with our Chair, Board, Executive team and the wider organisation to set our strategic plan for the next 4 years.
I truly believe Farleigh will continue to go from strength to strength and I will enjoy watching from the side the future developments of the organisation, including the Maldon refurbishment and Deliver Digital IT project.
I will remain a lifelong supporter of Farleigh and hospice care and wish them every success in the future.
Alison Stevens
Chief Executive
